Heavy rain impacts services and facilities in The Woodlands Township

Several facilities and services in The Woodlands Township were affected by severe weather June 16, and closures may continue this week depending on weather circumstances, according to a news release. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

  • Natural grass fields are closed through June 18 and will be assessed June 19 for weekend reopening.

Residents should check online for the status of the following, which were initially closed through the end of the day June 16:

  • Town Center Trolley—closed while the Flash Flood Warning is in effect
  • The Riva Row Boat House, Lakes Edge Boat House and Swans at the mall

In addition, in the area, Lone Star College-Montgomery was closed for the remainder of the day June 16, and students were advised to monitor the Lone Star College Alert page for further updates.
