Oregon beat out Michigan for Dakota Guerrant thanks to one key factor

This Summer on the recruiting trail has been unique for the Oregon Ducks compared to most recruiting cycles. While Oregon came into Sunday with 4 commitments from their 3 official visit weekends, everyone was waiting for Dan Lanning to go out and make the big splash everyone is used to seeing.

On Tuesday, that major splash arrived as wide receiver Dakota Guerrant decided to announce his commitment on The Pat McAfee Show. When the decision arrived, Dakota Guerrant picked Oregon marking a major win for Dan Lanning as he was clearly the Ducks top priority.

Dakota Guerrant reveals Oregon had the lead before his recruitment started

After announcing he was committing to Oregon on The Pat McAfee Show, Dakota Guerrant revealed why Oregon was the choice in the end. It turns out that Oregon had the advantage over Michigan before the Ducks likely even knew it.
