Richmond’s Diamond District redevelopment just cleared a major hurdle—three signed agreements will bring street and utility infrastructure, two public parks, and an affordable apartment building to the Sports Backers site along the Boulevard.
Mayor Danny Avula and the Richmond Economic Development Authority (EDA) executed the agreements on May 29, a move the city describes as another major milestone in one of the largest redevelopment efforts in Richmond’s history.
