(KRON) — A pug that fell into a narrow, 20-foot-deep hole in the North Bay is recovering at home after being rescued by the Marin County Fire Department on Monday. The pug, named Shadow, had been missing for three days before he was found in the hole.
Firefighters responded around 7 p.m. to a construction site in Lagunitas on the report of a dog trapped. Crews conducted a confined space rescue to reach the pug down the hole, which was only 3 to 4 feet in diameter. The 20-foot-deep hole was within a much larger excavation area at the construction site, fire officials said.
