Investigation is continuing into April disappearance of Michigan woman in the Bahamas

FREEPORT, BAHAMAS (WTVB) – The U.S. Coast Guard has officially concluded its active dive and search mission in the Bahamas related to the disappearance of Lynette Hooker, a 55-year-old Lenawee County woman who vanished on the night of April 4, , during a sailing trip with her husband.

Over the course of the intensive underwater and aerial search, specially equipped Coast Guard teams utilized remotely operated vehicles and cadaver dogs from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to scan the Sea of Abaco.

Additionally, as part of the ongoing probe, investigators officially took custody of the couple’s 8-foot dinghy and transported it to the U.S. for further forensic processing…
