One of Lubbock’s busiest highway crossings is nearing the end of its lifespan, and state transportation officials are preparing to replace it.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced it is moving forward with plans to replace the State Loop 289 bridges that cross Slide Road, one of the city’s major commercial corridors.
