Oro Valley water utility officials have been “told to prepare for a 20% cut” in its allocation of Central Arizona Project supply beginning Jan. 1, Director Peter Abraham told the Town Council on June 3.
“Nothing official has come down” from the federal Bureau of Reclamation, which oversees the CAP, he emphasized. But, during long-term drought, and when the Colorado River is overallocated, reductions are anticipated.
