Bakersfield woman sentenced in deadly shooting over allegedly stolen bike

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Armando Meza Jr. had a beautiful smile and was a “big, beautiful person” who took center stage at family gatherings, said one of his sisters.

She misses his comforting presence, his laughter, their conversations that ended with Meza saying, “Hey sis, love you sis.”

Meza, 34, was shot in 2024 after an argument in east Bakersfield. He was pronounced dead at Kern Medical about an hour later…
