Detroit police continue sweep of vacant homes, lots for missing people

DETROIT (WWJ) — Detroit Police are in large numbers out this week continuing their effort to track down clues in missing persons cases.

The DPD said its officers, with the FBI, would be focused on an area of the city’s west side on Wednesday as part of the Operation United Project BLOCK — which stands for “Bringing Lost Ones Closer to Kin.”

The project focuses on searching areas within the city of Detroit that are connected to missing persons cases, as well as securing abandoned homes, cleaning vacant lots, and removing debris…
