Kentucky Man Indicted on Reckless Homicide Charge in Pike County Deadly Crash

PETERSBURG, Ind. (WEVV) — A 19-year-old Kentucky man who has been indicted by a Pike County Grand Jury in connection with a deadly crash that claimed the life of a 17-year-old driver earlier this year, is now in the Pike County Jail.

According to the Pike County Prosecutor’s Office, Justin Nunez Solis of Sebree, Kentucky, was indicted on two Level 5 felony charges following a grand jury session held June 1-2. The charges are Reckless Homicide and Causing Death While Never Licensed. Officials say the charges stem from a March 3, 2026, crash on State Road 57 in Pike County.

Investigators said the collision was nearly head-on and involved only the two drivers. The 17-year-old victim died at the scene, while Nunez Solis was transported to an Evansville hospital and released the following day…
