NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa (KCRG) – A large tree uprooted and fell onto the roof of Club 76 The Lodge during severe storms early Wednesday morning, forcing the bar to close.
The National Weather Service reported 70 mph wind gusts in the area.
The tree caused damage to the bar’s ceiling. One man said he heard a loud crash around 6 to 6:30 a.m.
“It happened around 6, 6:30 this morning with that big wind gust that happened. I just heard the crash, looked up, and just saw the bar. Big old tree on it. And that wasn’t good,” Aden Lewis said…
