Ex-KSCO detentions lieutenant’s hearing moved to August in DUI case

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A former Kern County sheriff’s detentions lieutenant accused of two drunken driving crashes hours apart is now scheduled for a hearing in early August to determine whether his case will proceed to trial, according to court records.

A preliminary hearing date of Aug. 7 was set for Patrick McNeill, according to records updated Monday. The hearing has been postponed at least three times.

McNeill, 46, faces nine felony counts and a misdemeanor. He’s out on bail…
