Homewood neighbors say flooding remains biggest concern as city cracks down on dumping

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WBRC) – A pile of dumped debris near the Kenilworth Bridge in Homewood sparked frustration among residents and city leaders this week, but for many neighbors who live nearby, the trash is only part of the story.

The larger concern, they say, is what happens when heavy rain moves through the area.

Homewood City Councilor Chris Lane recently took to social media after discovering debris left near the bridge at the intersection of Primrose Lane and Kenilworth Drive.
