A California daycare owner who ran an at-home childcare business for more than a decade broke down in court after admitting that her negligence led to the death of a 16-month-old girl placed in her care.
Stacy Lee Snow, 54, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter after the toddler died from accidental asphyxia at Snow Angels Childcare and Preschool, an in-home daycare in the El Cajon area of San Diego County. The child was found unresponsive after her head became trapped between a plastic cot and the railing of a crib.
