SELLERSBURG — The Indiana State Police is pleased to announce a promotion and a new specialty assignment within the Sellersburg District. Detective Rob Caudill has been promoted to Squad Sergeant at the Sellersburg Post, and Trooper Eric Powers has been selected for assignment to the Indiana State Police Special Operations SWAT Team. Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott recognized both officers during an official ceremony in Indianapolis on Thursday.
Sergeant Rob Caudill – Promotion to Squad Sergeant, Sellersburg Post
Sergeant Rob Caudill is a 1992 graduate of Charlestown High School and an eight-year veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Caudill was appointed as a trooper with the Indiana State Police in December 2007 and assigned to the Sellersburg Post. Throughout his ISP career, Caudill has served as a Field Training Officer, an Emergency Vehicle Operations and PIT Instructor, and a member of the Meth Suppression Unit. He has also been a member of the ISP South Zone Dive Team and served as a certified dive instructor. Caudill was later selected to serve as a Detective at the Sellersburg Post, where he continued his investigative work until this most recent promotion.
