WATCH: South Alabama’s Eastern Shore sees flooding from heavy rainstorms

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) – Parts of the Eastern Shore are seeing some serious impacts from the storms passing through our area.

News 5 spoke with a resident who lives in Daphne’s Plantation Hills neighborhood. He said storms frequently leave the neighborhood’s main exit underwater, creating headaches for drivers trying to get in and out.

Downtown Fairhope is also seeing large pools of water on the roads and one resident said she is more than ready for the rain to let up.

“I was just telling my mom this morning it feels like it’s been like three weeks of this nonstop,” Fairhope resident Caroline Kelly said. “I just checked the forecast, this whole week is supposed to be pouring too. So we’ll see when we get some relief from it.”

Emergency officials are urging drivers to slow down and use extra caution on the roads until conditions improve…
