F.F. Thompson resumes normal hours after bomb threat

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — F.F. Thompson Hospital is resuming normal hours following a bomb threat.

According to a release sent by the hospital, the Emergency Department received a threat that they deemed credible. They activated the hospital’s emergency operations plan as law enforcement arrived to establish a perimeter.

Emergency services were diverted to other health care facilities. Ambulance traffic at the hospital resumed at 8 a.m. and, after precautionary sweeps, the hospital resumed normal operations at 9 a.m.

The Canandaigua Police Department said the threat was targeting the area of the parking lot. They confirmed that they couldn’t find anything to corroborate the legitimacy of the threat or pose a threat to the community…
