Court records shed more light on $95M embezzlement suit involving former credit union head

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The former head of a Jackson credit union facing a lawsuit for embezzling some $95 million allegedly had thousands of dollars in luxury goods delivered to her place of work.

In May, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) sued Leigh Bridges and her husband, Chad Bridges, in U.S. District Court, for allegedly embezzling some $94 million from the Jackson Area Federal Credit Union (JAFCU).

According to an official looking into the alleged misspending, numerous luxury items believed to be purchased using JAFCU funds were delivered directly to Bridges’ place of employment…
