Following up on Flock controversy, Eugene council starts work on city surveillance policy

The city of Eugene aims to complete initial work on a policy defining and regulating surveillance technology by the end of the year.

Assistant City Manager Matt Rodrigues told city councilors Wednesday, June 17, that he hopes to deliver a “policy framework” for the citywide use of surveillance tools within the next six months.
