Gardening: Blackberries can create ‘green thumbs’ quickly

Blackberries are starting to ripen around the state in gardens and in ditches. I took my daughters through one of our pastures and we have wild ones starting to ripen.

The majority of children will never get the chance to pick something fresh and eat it. I would venture to say that most folks reading this article grew up different than children today. Get your kids in the garden. If you get the chance to grow something and allow a child to eat it, do it.
