Celebrate the summer solstice with “Make Music Day” event in Appleton

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Celebrated globally on June 21, Make Music Day is a way to praise music that invites everyone to participate, and Heid Music is hosting a special event in Appleton to celebrate.

Unlike other traditional music festivals, Make Music Day encourages and prioritizes participation. Communities around the world host free performances, interactive activities, jam sessions, and opportunities for all ages to to experience music in new ways.

36th annual Burger Fest coming to Seymour this September

Appleton’s event is celebrated as part of the Fête de la Musique, a festival that takes place in over 1,000 cities across more than 120 countries on the summer solstice, which falls on June 21 each year. The day is set aside to appreciate music in all forms and encourages communities to come together and play free public concerts together.
