BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A preliminary hearing in the case of a man accused of fatally stabbing the mother of his children at an east Bakersfield apartment has been confirmed for Tuesday.
Attorneys in the case of Victor Farias Jr. on Monday told a Superior Court judge they’re prepared to go forward with the hearing. It’s expected to last four hours.

Farias, 33, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, child cruelty and violating a domestic violence restraining order. He’s being held without bail.
