BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Some long-awaited relief is coming to five areas of Hoover that have dealt with storm water drainage issues for years.
One of those is the Green Valley neighborhood which includes Charlotte Drive, Paulette Drive and Napier Drive. Bright pink and orange stakes dot some of the lawns in the neighborhood where some of the site work is complete.
“So this is what you would consider kind of ‘ground zero’ of the area,” Hoover City Councilor Ashley Lovell explained. “The water flows to the lowest point, and so much of the flow is directly in this area, and makes its way [out over the road] and it becomes quite a situation.”…
