Storms leave damage just west of Oklahoma City metro

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Most of you probably heard it loud and clear in the early hours of Monday morning. High winds and driving rain wreaked some havoc across several areas of the state.

At one point, tens of thousands of customers were without power in Oklahoma. The storms caused some significant damage just west of the metro in El Reno, too.

“Sirens going off in El Reno,” News 4 Storm Tracker Marc Dillard said early Monday morning while out chasing storms.

It was Mother Nature’s wake-up call for just about everyone in the state. Dillard was one of many out forewarning folks Monday in El Reno as high winds and driving rain blew through. At one point, Dillard even caught some power flashes on camera.
