SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Eugene Springfield Fire battled a residential fire in East Springfield on June 19 that forced crews into a defensive position after the roof showed signs of collapse.
Crews were dispatched to the 500 block of 52nd Street at 12:19 p.m. Callers reported a fire in the home with people attempting to extinguish it with hoses.
