Maintenance worker accused of stealing $15K from Keizer senior home victims

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A maintenance worker has been accused of stealing $15,000 from elderly victims living in a Keizer senior living community, authorities said.

Justin M. Schmidtke, 48, was indicted by a Marion County Grand Jury on charges that include burglary and multiple counts of theft.

The case was initially investigated by the Keizer Police Department in connection with multiple reported thefts at the Emerald Pointe Senior Living Center, where Schmidtke worked as a maintenance worker, the Marion County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
