CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Another slightly hotter-than-average day is in the forecast. As gusty southwest winds move into the region, highs will climb into the mid 90s.
FIRST ALERT: Hot temperatures will stay with us for the entire work week – and beyond! Tuesday afternoon’s highs are expected to span the low to mid 90s inland, except cooler in the vicinity of any isolated storms that develop. @Live5Weather#SCWX#CHSWXpic.twitter.com/LY6ugr1RYH

It will be just slightly cooler at Lowcountry beaches today. Expect highs in the upper 80s at the coast. Today’s rip current risk is low but the UV index will be extreme from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Be sure to practice proper sun safety today!
The next cold front is waiting in the wings. This will pass through tonight into Wednesday morning, ushering in a quick dose of some slightly drier air. Dewpoint temperatures will dip into the 60s overnight and into Wednesday. While it won’t exactly feel like Fall, humidity levels will be slightly more tolerable Wednesday…
