Man accused of murdering brother-in-law in Silver Lake receives $1 million bond

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A man accused of murdering his brother-in-law was given a $1 million bond during his first court appearance on Monday, June 22.

Carlos Lazo Toruno, 28, is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Carlos Ramieres Bueso Sunday night.

Deputies say the shooting happened in Bueso’s driveway on Normandy Drive in the Silver Lake area of New Hanover County. Lazo-Toruno was later found walking down the road and arrested.
