Jim Beavers, Shane McAnally and Kimmie Rhodes will be inducted alongside Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame during the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards Show at ACL Live in Austin on Feb. 20, 2027. Producer, musician and songwriter Lloyd Maines will be recognized as the recipient of the Darrell K. Royal Texas Music Legend Award.
Born in Midland and raised in Garland and Jacksonville, Beavers has written songs recorded by Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Chris Stapleton and others. His credits include “Drink a Beer,” “Red Solo Cup,” and “Am I the Only One.”
McAnally was born in Mineral Wells and raised in Fort Worth, and he has penned songs by Kacey Musgraves, Sam Hunt, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Midland, Niall Horan, and Kelly Clarkson, with credits on songs like “Merry Go ’Round,” “Follow Your Arrow,” and “Body Like a Back Road.”…
