9 restaurants in Shreveport, Bossier had 3 or more health department violations this month

There were multiple restaurants in Shreveport and Bossier City that had three or more critical health violations during recent inspections from June 8 to June 14.

The Louisiana Department of Health’s retail food health inspections dashboard includes a history of each establishment’s inspection reports, allowing residents and visitors of Louisiana to make informed decisions as consumers, according to their website. Inspections are a “snapshot” in time and do not always reflect the day-to-day operations and overall condition of an establishment.

According to the website, violations fall into two main categories, critical and noncritical. Critical violations, if left uncorrected, are more likely to directly contribute to food contamination or illness.
