Eugene, Springfield offer illegal fireworks amnesty ahead of Fourth of July

EUGENE, Ore. — Residents who have illegal fireworks at home will have two opportunities this week to dispose of them without facing citations as local officials prepare for the Fourth of July holiday and another year of heightened wildfire concerns.

Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) and the Eugene Police Department (EPD) announced they will host Illegal Fireworks Amnesty Turn-in Days on June 27 and June 28 at designated fire stations in Eugene and Springfield.
