OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – A bystander used a life ring to help two girls struggling in Lake Michigan near the north pier at Holland State Park.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. Monday, June 22, with winds out of the northwest creating dangerous swimming conditions.
Park Township firefighters responded to a water rescue after reports that two swimmers, believed to be teens, were struggling in the water near the pier. Before rescuers arrived, dispatchers were told that a girl in the water was screaming for help…
