The Crimson Tide lost seven players to graduation, but none to transfer. Two of the losses were full-time starters and a third became a starter late in the season. Alabama has picked up two transfers from D-I schools and one from juco. All things considered, the Tide got off pretty well.

UPGRADE PORTAL
There are several reasons for someone to enter the portal. Among them are more homesick portal, playing time portal, money grab portal, and upgrade portal. Two of the three Bama’s acquisitions should be considered upgrade portal because they moved to a better team. The third is a more playing time portal.
- C Karlee Ford (rising Jr.) had a solid season with Iowa State and was named Second Team All-Big 12 for her efforts. She hit .345 with 14 doubles, 10 home runs, and 49 RBIs in 2026. It’s probably safe to say that she is the favorite to be the Tide’s starting catcher in 2027.
- LHP Kailey Plumlee (rising RS-Fr.) did not make a single appearance and was granted a redshirt with four years of eligibility remaining. Plumlee was stuck behind five other pitchers with only one of them graduating, plus two new hurlers coming in as freshmen next season. She will probably have more opportunities to play at Alabama.
- OF Noelani Livingstone (scholastic Jr.) played two juco seasons for Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers. She was named NJCAA National Player of the Year after she hit .526 with seven home runs, 57 RBIs along with 32 stolen bases. Due to the nebulous juco/NCAA rules right now, it is unclear how many years of eligibility she will have, but it’s at least two.
- It is possible others could follow but it does not seem likely as of now.
