FEMA offers Cedar Rapids $1.4M for flood mitigation project

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Iowa could be getting money from FEMA to help with hazard mitigation projects. This money would address flooding, severe weather and wildfire risks.

In Iowa, projects include $1.4 million for a pump station generator in downtown Cedar Rapids. This would add a backup generator at the Third Avenue Southeast pump station.

There is also $2.9 million available for a water pollution control and flood mitigation project in Davenport…
