HAWAII KAI, Oahu (KHON2) — A search for a missing father and son in Hawaii Kai was put on hold on Tuesday, June 23 after crews spent most of the day searching near Hanauma Bay
Honolulu Fire Department crews received a 911 call before 10:30 a.m. to report a missing person after a backpack was found close to the land bridge near Hanauma Bay. The investigation revealed the backpack belonged to a 49-year-old man who went hiking with his 16-year-old son, officials said they were both visiting from Korea.
Their vehicle was later located in the Portlock neighborhood…
