Police investigate arson after 2 teen boys allegedly set car on fire in Kaneohe

KANEOHE, Hawaii (Island News) — Honolulu police are searching for two teen boys accused of setting a parked car on fire in Kaneohe on Tuesday afternoon.

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) investigated an arson right after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, after a car was intentionally set on fire on Windward Oahu. A 21-year-old man reported to police that he saw two boys pour ignitable liquid onto his car, which was parked in a store parking lot on Kamehameha Highway.

The teen suspects then fled on foot and shortly after, the man’s car caught fire…
