CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio – Two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Paul Simon brought his “Quiet Celebration” of a tour to Blossom Tuesday night and performed for 90-ish minutes for an appreciative crowd.
The tour is rightly named, as the 84-year-old singing-songwriting icon and his 11-piece band, including percussionist and Cleveland native Jamey Haddad, kept the volume and pace respectable and laid back throughout the evening.
Simon is physically pretty spry for an octogenarian and though his lyrical tenor has acquired the vibrato and a hint of rasp that often comes naturally with age, his voice and delivery are both still effective and affecting…
