Two Bronx teens stabbed trying to save a woman from attacker, police say

Two 16-year-old boys were stabbed and slashed in the Bronx Tuesday night after stepping in to stop a man from attacking a woman on the street, police said.

The attack occurred just after 8 p.m. near East 187th Street and Webster Avenue, where authorities said John Arce, a 28-year-old Bronx resident, was assaulting a woman in public. The two teenagers intervened, according to police, and Arce attacked them with a scalpel.
