Sonoma Man Faces Multiple Felonies Following Shooting And Downtown Standoff

A 21-year-old Sonoma man is facing a wave of felony charges following an early-morning shooting and a tense, 45-minute standoff near Sonoma Plaza last Friday.

Prosecutors say Damiano Vincenzo Serafini fired several rounds at a home south of Sonoma before fleeing the scene and later exchanging gunfire with responding deputies.

Serafini then led authorities on a chase through the downtown plaza area before finally surrendering to officers just before 5:30 a.m. Remarkably, no injuries were reported in the chaos, though Serafini remains behind bars on a 250-thousand-dollar bail…
