After nearly 20 years as judge, Vogt tabbed as first-ever ombudsman for state courts

The first ombudsman at the Oregon Judicial Department will be Debra Vogt, a longtime Lane County Circuit Court judge who will respond to citizen comments and concerns with the courts.

“I’m honored to have been selected for this unique opportunity to work with the public and the judicial conference,” Vogt said in a statement. “As Ombudsman, I look forward to working on behalf of Oregonians to ensure everyone has access to fair and impartial justice.”
