Suspect identified after woman was hit by car outside Delaney Hall: police

NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) — Newark Police said they’ve identified the suspected driver of a vehicle that hit a woman outside ICE’s detention center in Newark, Delaney Hall.

Authorities believe 38-year-old Thomas Brown, of Newark, was driving the red Dodge Challenger that struck a protesting woman outside Delaney Hall on Father’s Day.

The Sussex Visibility Brigade, an activist group, says they were outside honoring fathers imprisoned at Delaney Hall. There also appears to have been a group of demonstrators outside the ICE facility; the Sussex Visibility Brigade claims it is not associated with them.

The group claims that the vehicle belongs to a security guard at the facility. Those claims have not been verified by PIX11…
