National Steakhouse Month: Here are a few of the best in America, and 3 that are overrated

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — If you follow me on Instagram — and you probably don’t — you know I’m a steak snob. I’ve said it a thousand times.

I’ve gotten good enough at making a perfectly-seasoned, medium-rare ribeye at home that I don’t need to spend $85 on one out at a nice restaurant.

But sometimes you just want to comb your hair and go out for a great steak. And even though it’s late June, I learned just this week that it’s National Steakhouse Month. Here are some good ones, in no particular order:

  • Mancy’s Steakhouse, in Toledo, Ohio — Mancy’s does what most great steak joints don’t do: They season their beef very liberally, and the result is a delicious dinner (pictured below). The atmosphere here is great as well.
