‘Architect’ of shooting outside high school on Staten Island pleads guilty; attack allegedly gang-related

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island man charged with planning and carrying out a shooting nearly four years ago outside Tottenville High School has accepted a court offer to potentially resolve the case.

Davon Patterson, 21, of Van Duzer Street in Tompkinsville, pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree attempted murder in connection with the Oct. 25, 2022, incident.

In exchange for his plea, Patterson is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 6 by Justice Raymond Rodriguez to 10 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision…
