Memphis educator empowers girls through creative expression

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — For many kids across the Mid-South, this summer is all about exploring their creative sides. One Memphis educator is using her creative talents to sew new skills in some of the city’s youngest and brightest minds.

These girls are spending their summer cutting deep into their creative sides.

“At first, I thought it was a science camp, but it’s actually a designer camp,” said Skylar Cherry, a 10-year-old.
