Madison man convicted of federal drug trafficking charges

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A federal jury convicted a Madison man on drug trafficking charges Thursday, after investigators reported finding hundreds of grams of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Johnathan Conley, 44, was found guilty after a four-day trial of trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin explained Friday. Deliberations took just over six hours.

According to prosecutors, the charges date back to Oct. 24, 2023. Conley allegedly gave about 770 grams of methamphetamine and 29 grams of fentanyl to someone, who was arrested in New Lisbon. Authorities reported finding the drugs in her car…
