Heat Wave Heading for North Georgia

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Expect highs in the low to mid-90s with increasing humidity as we head into the afternoon. There is the potential for a stray storm, mainly in north Georgia and any isolated storm that does develop should diminish overnight into Sunday. The strong high-pressure system anchored over South Georgia will keep widespread moisture away from our area for the most part. While today’s conditions are manageable, the real story this weekend is the heat that’s about to take over.
