G Herbo brought his signature street anthems and energetic stage presence to Minglewood Hall as the headliner for the 3rd annual Juneteenth Summer Classic, an event promoted by Tapped In and Peppa Mouth of the South.
The show on Friday, June 19, featured a strong lineup of local talent, including super producer Hitkidd, Duke Deuce, CoCash, and Fast Cash Jizzle, along with several other performers who helped showcase the city’s thriving hip-hop scene.
Despite G Herbo’s national profile and loyal fan base, attendance was lighter than many expected for a headlining performance of this magnitude. The turnout suggested that Memphis may not be one of the rapper’s strongest markets, even as he continues to maintain a respected presence in hip-hop nationwide.
