A dog’s sense of smell is 10,000 to 100,000 times stronger than ours. The reason? Your dog has up to 300 million olfactory receptors in its nose. We have about 6 million. But its brain is also wired for smell. In proportion to humans, the part of a dog’s brain that analyzes odors is about 40 times larger than ours.
