AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – The Akron Fire Investigation Unit is investigating a house fire that spread to another home and injured a firefighter on Monday.
According to an Akron Fire report, firefighters were called out to a house fire with heavy smoke reported in the 700 block of Hazel Street around 10:34 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find fire and smoke from the first floor of the two-and-a-half-story home.
The fire spread to a home next door that caught fire due to exposure.
