COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — Gov. Henry McMaster has awarded the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest civilian honor, to Lamont “Chris” Christian for his lifetime of military and community service.
Christian received the award during a ceremony on Friday, June 26, after he was nominated by Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, state Rep. Brandon Cox, South Carolina Educational Lottery Chief Compliance Officer Dan Beatty, and Big Red Barn Retreat co-founder Sutton Shaw.
